Your Best Purchases of 2025

It’s that time of year again! Every year I compile a list of your best purchases of the year. Here’s 2024’s list, in case you’re interested. The only requirement is that the item must have changed your life for the better in a small or big way.

I asked my guy his top purchases and he said:

  • Leuchtturm Notebooks, $25 “Really good high quality notebook.” I asked him to expand but he said, “Touch it. Write in it. It’s just so much better than others.” Okayyy.

  • Clear security “In a world where TSA Precheck is longer than normal security, CLEAR gets you through in seconds without having to take anything out of your pockets.” $209/yr or we get it included with AmEx Platinum

  • Costco Steak Hack: “Purchase the entire NY Strip loin or Ribeye for almost half as much per pound as buying precut steaks, then freeze and cut your own steaks when you want them.” (Comes out to like $8.99/lb vs $16.99/lb)

  • Strong Ground by Brene Brown - “Great book for the work place and life. Backed by 15 years of research data of the best of the best companies and organizations. For me, it was like a Brene Brown refresh after growing kind of tired of her.” $21

  • This espresso machine - “It’s the perfect pull every time.” $1199.94

  • This deodorant - “It smells good and the texture is nice when it goes on.” $22

I think for me I would say my top purchases were:

  • My heating pad - It has been SO helpful with cramps from IVF stuff and low back pain. I keep it in the bed and use it almost every night. $17.93

  • My watercolor set ($28.12)and blank cards ($24.99). It’s so easy to find a tutorial online if you need help painting, it’s a fun creative outlet, and now I have a bunch of homemade cards ready for birthdays, showers, thank yous, and more.
