Banks Update + Sephora Sale Picks
It’s been a minute, so I thought I’d share a little life update. Banks has been a wonderful addition to our little family and really keeping us on our toes. He has a tremendous amount of energy, but we were prepared for it, and he’s on a really great routine of a morning and evening run every single day. I also have clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays that invite him to play with their dogs, so he gets extra socialization and play time on those days, and we’ve been taking him to the dog park weekly as well. He really does so well with other dogs, and is such a social little guy. He is scheduled to be fixed in early May, and we are hopeful it’ll help him to calm down a little bit with marking on literally everything he comes across (thankfully outside! He is fully house trained). He is still super cuddly, and each week it seems like more and more of his personality comes out. He still doesn’t like peanut butter (?!), yogurt, or Greenie, but is loving the food we feed him (lean meat of choice - we switch it up from turkey to chicken to beef and mix that with Dr Harveys, tooth powder, and salmon oil. His favorite thing seems to be the tuna juice from tuna cans haha.
Our boy is so rambunctious that we felt like it was cruel and unusual punishment to be in our teeny tiny house that barely has a yard so….we bought a new house and moved! It’s got a yard and is in a much more walkable location with sidewalks and quiet residential streets, and we have deer nearby which has been very exciting for Mr. Bankeroo. We are still settling into our house and trying to make it a home which I know will take some time, but I’m itching to feel a little more settled. We just need like a ton of furniture, curtains, etc - but it’ll come in time.
I’m on a bit of a shopping ban so I can save up for the furniture we need to buy, but I may break it for the Sephora sale because I’ve got some staples to get, and if I can get it on sale, I feel like I should. Salt + Stone Deodorant - My friend gifted me this a few months ago and I absolutely love the scent, and it truly works!
Ilia Mascara - This is one of my favorite mascaras ever. The formula is really nice, stays put, doesn’t clump, and is a clean beauty brand.
Luminous Silk Foundation - I have two foundations I love, and this one is in the number one spot. Buildable foundation for a glowy, dewy look that feels light on the skin.
Flawless Filter - If you like a glowy, dewy, luminous look, I put this on the cheekbones after moisturizing, and then wait a minute or two before layering a lightweight foundation on top and it’s just so pretty.
SurrealSkin Foundation - This is my number two favorite foundation. It’s lightweight, buildable, and has a dewy finish.
Slip Tint Tinted Moisturizer - If you like very lightweight, minimal coverage, almost no-make up looks, this is the product to get. I love it in the summer when I don’t want as much coverage. The formula is hydrating and yet very lightweight.
Dry Texturizing Spray - This stuff brings my day-two hair back to life. Just spritz in and zshush with your hands for beachy, tousled hair.
Radiant Creamy Concealer - This is a cult favorite for a reason! Just goes on beautifully, feels hydrating, and has just the right amount of coverage.
Dream Coat Supernatural - This spray is the best for making your hair smooth when blowdrying!
Always an Optimist - This hydrating spray is the absolute best! I spritz it on as a setting spray, but if I’m doing a long-wear makeup look that I need to last forever, I will spritz it on after moisturizing and between makeup products. It leaves you feeling and looking glowy and keeps everything put.
Skin Cream Contour - I absolutely love this for traveling because it cuts down on what to pack when on the go since it’s a foundation, concealer, bronzer, contour and highlighter all in one! The trick with this is to put it on with your fingers! The formula, I’ve found, works best with the warmth of your hands.
Ultra Suede Sculpting Lip - If I could only choose one makeup product, it would be this one. Defined lips just do something to me! The color Lauren is my jam. You will not be disappointed.
Money Mask Deep Hydrating - This mask is everything. I use it about once a week and it just leaves your hair so hydrated and shiny. It’s the best!
The Gradual - This lotion will give you a natural looking, just-been-in-the-sun warmth. It’s subtle, never orange, and really a game-changer for grey winter months.

I’m so thankful it’s Friday. This week has been long. I’ve been really working my tail off, trying to get back on the social media horse. I’ve revived my YouTube channel, and started posting new Shorts daily. I’ve also posted a daily TikTok every day for the last month and a half when I went viral (I’m at 1.1M views on the viral post!!!), so I’m proud of myself for that. And I’ve been trying to post M-F on Instagram, but for some reason, that’s been a struggle. I’m trying, though! Tomorrow I’m leading a Hormones Workshop that I’m so excited about.
